A native San Franciscan born to parents from Nicaragua, LOLA MORALES grew up immersed in two incredibly rich and diverse cultures. Firmly rooted in both her Latina and American roots, her music is direct a reflection of this rich combination. A fusion of soul, jazz and Latin Funk, her unique style has made an impact on audiences worldwide.

Lola started singing in Ecuador in the early 1990's when she was studying in Quito. She moved there from San Francisco to study Spanish and quickly built up a local fan base when she started performing in Quito's hottest nightclubs and bars.

Back in San Francisco, Lola who also plays guitar, continued to sing and branched out into writing her own songs while she completed her degree at UC Berkeley. During this time her distinctive style emerged: a combination of laid-back vocals over raw-edged beats and driving rhythms.

With a move to London 2 years ago, Lola began wowing the crowds with her fusion-influenced music. Shortly after arriving in the British Capital, she landed a weekly residency at Mezzo, one of Terence Conran's trendy restaurants. She also performed regularly at The Londsdale, a prestigious members-only wine bar/cocktail lounge located in the heart of Notting Hill, one of London's most chic and stylish neighborhoods. Audiences have responded enthusiastically both to her intimate acoustic sets and her more high-octane ones backed by a full band.

Lola cemented her position with demanding London audiences when she performed as the headline act on New Year's Eve 2004 at Cafe Floridita, another hot Conran venue. Here she helped the 500-strong crowd see in the New Year in her typical high-energy style.

While touring Southeast Asia this year, Lola has performed as singer in residence at the Shangri-La in Singapore, one of the island-state's most upscale hotels. Here she delivered a nightly jazz review to fully booked tables at the prestigious Blu Bar supper club. From there she moved on to perform at the hip and trendy Burgundy Bar located in the Grand Hyatt in Jakarta, Indonesia. Here she entertained Jakarta's most exclusive and sophisticated clientele with high powered and energetic sets. Lola's fresh musical style and commanding presence continue to impress and enthuse admiring fans.

Lola's music is inspired by her travels around the world, including Latin America, eastern and western Europe, the US and now Asia.

This winter Lola will begin recording her upcoming EP of original material. The CD will showcase the style that has won her fans around the world.
