Earthbeat began as a part of the group Blakjax in 1991. They performed at numerous functions in their hometown of Edmonton, Canada. As time went by the group became stronger and began performing at various hotels, clubs and outdoor music festivals. The band journeyed south of the border to the United States and completed a series of engagements at casinos and nightclubs in Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Wyoming and Missouri.

From October 1997 through February 1998 the band performed at the hottest nightspots in Asia: Ziga Zaga at Grand Hyatt Taipei, JJ's at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, Spasso at Grand Hyatt Bangkok, and O'Reiley's at Grand Hyatt Jakarta.

Earthbeat has emerged as a successful band in its own right and features a unique group of talented, professional individuals who display the highest level of energy and showmanship while presenting their wide selection of music styles.

Earthbeat's musical repertoire consists of over 200 songs: dance, current Top 40, classic rock, current rock 'n roll, funk, techno, alternative, country, oldies, Motown, and R&B.

Earthbeat is a professional and cooperative cast of individuals who will gladly accommodate even the most demanding situations. Flexibility and flamboyance, yet with conservative presentation, are defining characteristics of the band. They are going into their seventh year and looking forward to many more years and opportunities.
