ANGELA FABIAN
Angela Fabian

Angela Harry, a/k/a ANGELA FABIAN, was born in Omaha, Nebraska. She began singing at the age of 12 years old mostly in her church choir and several years in school choirs. She had her first taste of singing secular music at the age of 17 after joining an all-female group that traveled throughout the Midwest and also Canada. Later she joined a band from New Orleans and called themselves Ges Werk, in which Angela was the lead singer and also made up this unique name. Her band became well known in the city and soon auditioned for the Department of Defense. They worked for DOD for 6 years which took them to such places as: Korea, Japan, Iceland, Africa, Egypt, Croatia, England, Panama, Honduras, Kuwait, Hawaii, Amsterdam, Germany, and Italy to name a few. Entertaining troops and international audiences.

Angela was picked three years in a row to perform the National Anthem for the College World Series and also for the Mayor's inauguration in 1997. She was accepted in the 1998 Regional Music Showcase in St. Louis, Missour, and later that year she was accepted at the PMC (Philly Music Conference) where she had interest shown by local independent industries. Angela was the only performer from Nebraska singing at the Amphitheater, J's on the Landing. She has also sung on radio jingles and three television commercials that included the WB theme song.

In 2000 she was hired to sing in Taipei, Taiwan, at the Grand Hyatt, which opened doors for her as a jazz solo artist. Angela was called back to Taipei to perform at a jazz club called Brown Sugar twice, and has sung jazz since loving every bit of it. While wording in Taipei she was hired by Universal Records in Asia to sing background vocals (some in Chinese) for national acts, also arranging music for JOLIN. The alnum was called "Lucky Number" which aired on MTV Asia. Angela traveled back and forth to Asia singing in Shanghai, Beijing, and Singapore.

Recently in the summer of 2003, Angela and her jazz trio performed at the Western Heritage Jazz Festival, headlining for Johnathan Butler and Gerald Albright. Angela and her band also performed at the Summer Jazz Jamm Fest in Lincoln, Nebraska. ANGELA FABIAN is very versatile with the ability to entertain the young and the old in a style all her own. She has successfully mixed the sound of yesterday, today and tomorrow locked in a very nice groove. This Nebraska heartland woman belts out a deep, soulful, spiritual sound with an exhilarating range that will have you in anticipation of every word. This is ANGELA FABIAN.
